Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Community Services Assistant to join their team. This role involves assessing and triaging calls related to mental health services, coordinating with clinics, scheduling appointments, gathering and documenting client information, and ensuring that clients are connected to necessary services. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Triage and assess calls directed by the crisis team.
- Handle phone calls with patients and connect them with outpatient mental health services.
- Schedule appointments by accessing clinics' calendars.
- Coordinate with clinics for detox, residential, and outpatient programs.
- Gather financial information and document client interactions in SmartCare.
- Create detailed progress notes.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in Behavioral Health (BH) or Mental Health, or has case management experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge or education in mental health.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Preferred: Experience working in mental health/BH.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, especially during crisis situations.
Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
