A large Healthcare Consulting Firm is seeking an experienced Interim Supply Chain Leader to support one of their clients at the Director level.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Hospital Supply Chain operations, GPO management, Inventory Optimization, and Vendor contracting.
This position requires frequent travel or residency near commutable distance to Memphis, TN.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Lead Materials Management operations, overseeing supply chain performance, inventory control, and distribution.
- Drive procurement and capital acquisitions, negotiating pricing and ensuring compliance with approval processes.
- Manage vendor contracts, supplier diversity initiatives, and GPO relationships to optimize costs and revenue.
- Oversee equipment tracking, maintenance, and distribution to support patient care.
- Facilitate product evaluations, vendor credentialing, and compliance with hospital policies.
- Direct the Value Analysis Team, ensuring adherence to policies for new product and equipment approvals.
- Provide strategic guidance to adapt to market changes, optimize budgets, and enhance efficiency.
- Conduct performance reviews and report key findings to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration required; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in hospital supply chain operations, GPO management, and inventory optimization.
- Vendor contracting and negotiations experience.
Onsite Requirements:
- M-F for local candidates
- M-Th for travel (travel expenses and reimbursement included) every other week
Length: Approximately 5 months. Possibility of extension or permanent employment, but no guarantees.
Pay: $65 - 84 per hour depending on experience

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
