Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to become a valuable member of our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about medical laboratory science and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Perform specimen analysis in the areas of Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, and Urinalysis.
- Analyze blood samples with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Maintain and operate all laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and procedures to ensure accurate results.
- Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs.
- Prepare smears and perform manual differential counts on blood samples.
- Process specimens for reference laboratory testing.
- Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Assist with special procedures (bone marrows in the room)
- Perform phlebotomy and sample collecteions procedures as needed
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related science field. Current state license if required. AMT (American Medical Technologists), ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with EMR and LIS systems
Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00
