Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing pharmacy shipments, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and customer service within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
? Process Pharmacy Shipments
- Verify patient information and prescription details for delivery.
- Input and confirm payment methods and process transactions.
- Utilize company systems to update patient information and select appropriate delivery carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including shipment details and call logs.
? Provide Customer Support
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding prescriptions, refills, transfers, payments, and order status.
- Utilize company systems, training, and manuals to resolve customer and associate inquiries.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of patient health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, insurance concerns, and order processing issues.
? Ensure Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Implement action plans to maintain compliance and resolve issues.
- Utilize the Open Door Policy to report concerns and improve processes.
Qualifications:
? Experience: 1-2 years of customer service, pharmacy, or healthcare experience preferred.
? Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification is a plus.
? Technical Skills: Proficiency in pharmacy management systems, insurance verification, and Microsoft Office.
? Knowledge: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, prescription processing, and medical terminology.
? Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
? Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling sensitive patient information and processing prescriptions.

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment.
