Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends or holidays)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective infusion therapy to patients in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion medications while ensuring patient comfort and well-being. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed infusion therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions during and after infusions, and respond appropriately to any complications.
- Assess patient's physical and emotional status before, during, and after infusion therapy.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including infusion documentation, medication administration, and patient responses.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous medications and materials.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe infusion environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control practices.
- Manage and maintain infusion equipment and supplies.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in chemotherapy infusion administration.
- Current Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification (e.g., ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infusion therapy principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent venipuncture and IV insertion skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Excellent patient education skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific infusion pumps and devices.
- Experience with electronic medical records such as [insert EMR example].
